What are bed bugs?
Bed bugs (Cimex lectularius) are small parasitic insects that feed exclusively on blood. Unlike many other human parasites, they do not remain on the host’s body permanently but come into contact only to feed, preferring to hide near where the host sleeps or stays for long periods. Their activity is predominantly nocturnal.
